- W -
Waive: The voluntary act of the giving up of ones’ legal rights.
Willful: Generally, it is an intentionally taken act in contrast to an act that was done unintentionally or carelessly.
With Prejudice: A court rendering which states that a case or cause may not be brought back to court.
Without Prejudice: A court rendering which states that a case or cause may be brought back to court.
Witness: A person that testifies under oath as to produce evidence for a legal matter.
Writ: A motion that is given to the courts in the form of a petition requesting an action to be taken which is granted as a relief.
